Re-evaluation of Data

In this section, we re-evaluate the data of EMC and E130 as the knowledge on the structure function has been much improved since their publication. The has been used in the estimation of the depolarization factor . Thus the asymmetry could be affected by this re-evaluation.

From the paper [14], we can know their value for using Eq.(39). By solving Eq.(8), we have obtained the value of y for each data point. Then we have re-evaluate using and y. The results are shown in Table xi.

As for E130 data, they provided the value of for each data point and the estimation of y was rather easier. They also provided . Then the asymmetry has been re-evaluated using new values which are obtained with and y. It should be noted that is still neglected.

Those corrected asymmetries are plotted in Figure 6 together with recent measurements SMC, E143. Obviously the error bars of E130 are rather large comparing to the other experiments. Because of this and the uncertainty originated in , we propose to omit their data from further analysis.
